Bill Tinney

Macon, GA

As the former Chief Production Test Pilot for Columbia Aircraft Manufacturing and then Cessna, Bill is an experienced test pilot & engineer with unprecedented knowledge of the Columbia/Corvalis aircraft line. Bill has over 3000 hours in the Columbia/Corvalis, most of which coming from Production & Experimental Flight Test. He is experienced in other piston aircraft such as Cirrus, Beech and legacy Cessna. Bill is an electrical and avionics subject matter expert, having completed numerous engineering projects and teaching avionics maintenance at the college level.

Bill has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University. He holds and Airline Transport Pilot Certificate for Single & Multi Engine Aircraft, a Certified Flight Instructor and a Citation Mustang Type Rating. Bill is also a Turbo Prop Flight Engineer and an A&P Mechanic with Inspection Authorization.

Bill specializes in advanced avionics training and training in the Cessna Corvalis (Cessna 400, Columbia 400) throughout Georgia and Florida.
